    Mountains to Sea/Devil’s Courthouse Spur Trail

    This section of the Mountains to Sea trail (white markers) meanders through rhododendron thickets with wild blackberry in early summer. It winds around the northwestern side of a ridge, crosses a small stream, and heads up 6 switchbacks and T’s at the Devil’s Courthouse spur trail; take a right and follow the trail all the way up to the Courthouse. You will be awarded with one of the most beautiful 270 degree views of Pisgah National Forest. The trail is approximately 3 miles to Devil’s Courthouse from NC-215.

    • Directions:

    Begin by taking the Blue Ridge Parkway to NC-215. Head northwest .5 miles to a small parking area on the left. The trailhead sits up on an embankment on the right side of the road.
